Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival in Tbilisi & Old Town Charm
Arrive at Tbilisi International Airport and transfer to your hotel to settle in.
Take a walking tour of Old Tbilisi (Dzveli Tbilisi), wandering through cobblestone streets to see the colorful wooden balconies and the leaning Clock Tower.
Ride the aerial tramway to Narikala Fortress for a bird’s-eye view of the city and the Mtkvari River before enjoying dinner at a traditional Georgian restaurant.
Day 2 - Ancient Capitals and Holy Landmarks
Travel a short distance to Mtskheta, the ancient capital and religious heart of Georgia.
Visit the Jvari Monastery, a 6th-century hilltop church offering a famous view of the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers.
Explore the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its grand architecture and deep historical significance.
Day 3 - The Scenic Georgian Military Highway
Set off on a spectacular drive north toward the Greater Caucasus Mountains.
Stop at the Ananuri Fortress Complex, overlooking the turquoise waters of the Zhinvali Reservoir.
Pass through the mountain resort of Gudauri and stop at the Russia-Georgia Friendship Monument for panoramic views of the “Devil’s Valley” before reaching Stepantsminda (Kazbegi).
Day 4 - Peaks of Kazbegi and Mountain Villages
Hike or take a 4WD vehicle up to the Gergeti Trinity Church, iconically situated against the backdrop of the towering Mount Kazbek.
Explore the Sno Valley and the giant stone head sculptures in the village of Sno.
Relax in the crisp mountain air and enjoy local highland cuisine like Khinkali (dumplings) before returning to Tbilisi in the evening.
Day 5 - Wine Regions and the City of Love
Head east to the Kakheti region, the cradle of Georgian winemaking.
Visit the walled town of Sighnaghi, known as the “City of Love,” featuring charming Italianate architecture and views over the Alazani Valley.
Stop at the Bodbe Monastery, the burial site of St. Nino, and visit a local “Marani” (wine cellar) to learn about the traditional Qvevri winemaking method.
Day 6 - Caves, Culture, and Departure
Visit the Uplistsikhe Cave Town, an ancient rock-hewn city that served as a major center during the Hellenistic and late Antiquity periods.
Return to Tbilisi for last-minute souvenir shopping at the Dry Bridge Flea Market, famous for its antiques and local art.
Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
